Felix de Laet alias Lost Frequencies is 21-year old producer from Brussels. His track “Are You With Me” has climbed to number one in the top charts from Belgium and has gone platinum!

1. What is the best part about being a producer?

- Being able to produce music that people will love to listen to afterwards !

2. How did it all start for you?

- When I received a MacBook Pro from my father ! I started producing on Garageband, then went over to REASON 5 (which I really liked), and now I’m producing on Logic. I started to produce some remixes and bootlegs about 4 years ago now, and It all started going pretty well since last year !

3. What would you be doing now if it wasn't for music?

- I would have more time to study for my finals at University. So I think if it wasn’t for music, I would be a student, which I actually also am now, because I do both.

4. Is talent, hard work, or the connections you make the most important factor for being successful?

- In the beginning it’s really the talent and the hard work that matters, but in the long run, all 3 are even!

5. When do you usually make music?

- The good question would be, when do you usually not make music ! I’m constantly thinking about or making music.

6. What is your favorite synthesizer? Which one do you use most in your productions?

- One of my favorite synthesizer for the moment is the A.N.A from Sonic Academy. I really like the sounds you can easily get with the synth !

7. Do you work on mastering/mixing by yourself? Favorite Compressor/ Limiter//Maximizer ?

- I sometimes mix and master myself, but when I do an official release, I prefer to go master my track at a professional! I really like all the FabFilter stuff that’s out there though !

8. What was the best reaction you've gotten when a fan got to meet you?

- I haven’t really met a « fan » yet, so I can’t really answer this. Even though I would love to meet fans, could be awesome !

9. How did you discover Vandalism?

- I discovered vandalism with some « tropical » and « deep house » packs / presets they were offering, which I really enjoyed!

10. What makes you choose Vandalism over other competitors?

- Really easy to use, and the stuff they are offering is really clean, sometimes some samples are juste ready to go, you can put them in the track and you nearly heave to change them!
